Pyrite Salvia Pellets can be dissolved under the tongue to treat sore throat, hoarseness and tickling cough.
How does it work?
This is an important question that prompts us to observe nature to find its correspondence with health and illness. Pyrite Salvia contains biodynamic organic potentized plant extracts of sage leaf and archangelica root with harmlessly minute amounts of henbane (Hyoscyamus niger), as well as iron pyrites and silver nitrate.
What do they do?
Archangelica root has a spicy scent and grows in cool, moist surroundings. The leaves are feathery, the stalks hollow and have a purplish coloration. These phenomena indicate a strong interaction between air and water, which is similar to the situation with sore throat and mucus – inflammation is too dry, mucus is too moist but also too earthy. You can read more about Archangelica here.
Sage leaf is native to the dry Mediterranean, where it grows as a woody shrub. The green leaves can last right into winter. Its dynamic smell, spicy and bitter, encourages us to take hold of the body and maintain warmth.
Pyrite is also called “Fool’s Gold” from its shiny metallic glow. It combines sulfur and iron, not gold, into a remarkable number of crystal forms.
Sulfur is an archetype of the metabolic system rising up from digestion to cause inflammation, such as occurs in throat membranes that have become too exposed to earthly conditions. Here, iron transforms yellow sulfur into a hard, shiny crystal, preventing further inflammation.
Silver nitrate combines metallic silver with nitrogen and is often considered for inflammation of mucous membranes in the throat and upper airways.
Hyoscyamus is a poisonous plant of the nightshade family, here used in harmless homeopathic amounts (7X). It is included especially to treat chronic hoarseness. Observation of the plant shows a relentless repetition of leaf and flower all along the stalk – like tough mucus that doesn’t let go. Here, our thoughtful observation can help show us hidden remedy qualities.
